The university’s spokesperson Nouman Khan gave a statement in which he said that the objective for hacking the website is still unidentified. Priorly, when the website was hacked, the university management contacted the personnel of the company, and after a few days later, the website was successfully restored.
A Hacker from India Hacks Swabi University’s Website Twice in a Week
The university official said that the complaint was sent to the company, and they were hoping to get the website recovered in 48 hours. But unfortunately, the officials said that all the links that were on the website were disconnected, and the university management was unable to contact the faculty or even the students. They showed concern regarding the permanent solution or the issue because it creates disturbance not only for the faculty but for the students as well. This is not a good sign for Pakistani institutions as it will spur insecurity and also malign the Pakistani academic institutions. The Government should take notice of this event and direct the relevant authorities to take strong measure to curb the hacking attempts from the neighbouring country.
